2012.2013 Season
From Mozart to Sibelius
Charles Richard-Hamelin
Pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin performs the piece he played when he won the 2011 TSO National Piano Competition, Rachmaninoff's gorgeous Concerto No. 2. You'll also enjoy a suite from Norwegian composer Grieg's delectable incidental music for the play Peer Gynt, and Finlandia, Sibelius's rousing salute to his homeland.
Light Classics concerts feature a varied selection of classical favourites and include engaging introductions about the music from the stage. You're sure to leave the performance humming.
