Feedback from Grade 5 students from Glen Cedar Public School students after attending a TSO performance
After hearing the symphony, I really liked it and was
excited on finding interesting facts about the conductor, writers and
composers of the concert in my programme. The conductor did not need to
look at music sheets on the last and longest song.
Megan
I can’t believe that when they played it sounded just like the CD! It sounded so perfect and pure.
Natalia
I loved watching the conductor move around so frequently
because it looked like he was crazy, but he wasn’t. I thought it was a
cool way to conduct!

After hearing the symphony I clapped for a long time.
Kyleen
I can’t believe how well the orchestra played last night and how they (the musicians) concentrated.
Evelyn
I loved when the double bass, violin, and cellos all lifted their bows.

Student Comments on their Adopt-A-Player experience
During this experience [Adopt-A-Player] I learned more
about cooperating and coming together with my classmates like a team. I
also put my fears of performing in front of a group of people behind me.

I was excited to make my piece just like the people did at the TSO.

From this experience, I have learned so many things about
music and instruments that I never knew before. When my class had to
make our own piece of music, it felt like we were a real orchestra. I
had so much fun when my class performed our piece of music. I thought
we were very good. I appreciated the opportunity.
